The Family Clinic Group understands that unexpected medical emergencies & illnesses can happen unexpectedly, hence the “Walk-In” facility for your convenience!

In the event of Chest Pains or difficulty breathing, please inform the Receptionist on your arrival, as these conditions are treated as an emergency!

New Patients

It is important that we know about any relevant medical condition or history you may have.  Therefore, if you are on any regular medication, or have an on-going medical condition, please make an appointment to see one of our Doctors as soon as possible!

Consultation Information

We are a private billing practice, providing medical services to both Private &  All Medical Aid / Health Plan Patients are welcome.  We are contracted at Medical Aid agreed tariff, terms and conditions do however apply.  In the event of short payments not paid by your Scheme, you would be liable to settle the outstanding account.

Please ensure that you present your medical aid card & identification book / card to our Receptionist for each consultation.

The standard consultation cash fee includes basic formulary medication.  In the event of any procedures, additional fees will be discussed with our friendly Receptionist.  Please enquire at Reception regarding our fees for non medical aid / Private Patients.   For your convenience we accept the following forms of payment

  •  Cash
  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • EFT
  • Edgars, Jet, Legit & Boardman’s card.

We regret accounts are not accepted.

Repeat Prescriptions

In virtually all situations, review of your medical condition is necessary before a repeat prescription is written.

In special circumstances this may not apply (e.g. lost prescription).  Here a prescription replacement fee will be charged.

Also note that for ongoing care & Chronic Medical Conditions, many prescriptions have repeats (e.g. 5 repeats = 6 months of a prescription).

It is important that you check when your last repeat occurs with your local Pharmacy, as you would then be required to visit your Doctor for a follow up appointment to re-assess your medical condition & to get your repeat prescription reviewed.

Updating of Personal Information

Please notify our Reception Staff of any changes of medical aid, name, address or telephone number in order to ensure that your medical records are correct.
